I have three main altar areas. Two formal, in my bedroom where I can get peace from my cat, and one informal, in the living room next to my computer but in a cabinet so the cat doesn’t knock over and chew everything.
My first formal shrine, for the Kemetic Orthodox ritual of Senut.
My other formal shrine, which I use for an increasingly priest analogous ritual. My statue is not open yet and I am unlikely to open it until I’ve been consistent in my ritual for say, a year or so, or until I am made a priest in KO (whichever Wepwawet leads my to believe is the right option). If I do keep up my ritual practice I’m looking at replacing the cabinet with a proper wood one, possibly commissioned from a butsudan maker if he’s willing to do the size that I need.
My informal living room shrine. I wanted my deities moved somewhere where they’d be kept on my mind more (I am a bit flakey with 0 attention span).
I also have a bunch of dedicated shelves in my bedrooms, where I have Wepwawet’s informal shrine, as well as any other spaces such as Akhu shrines, shrines to non-Kemetic Gods, Netjeri spaces, and spaces for Gods I don’t currently interact with but who I don’t have the heart to decommission their statues.
